Description
The Contractor is responsible for meeting and greeting visitors to
the ASC; checking the hands of applicants for open wounds or cuts,
distributing the Applicant Information Worksheet (AIW), and
checking applicant identification documents to include the initial
applicant processing actions; and answering routine inquires for
information or referring requests to the appropriate source within
the office. The receptionist may be required to check NASS and
print appointment notices as needed. The Department Of Labor (DOL)
labor category for this job duty has been assessed as a General
Clerk III.
The General Clerk follows clearly detailed procedures in performing
simple repetitive tasks in the same sequence. Responsibilities
would include filing pre-coded documents in a chronological file,
or operating office equipment, (e.g., mimeograph, photocopy,
addressograph or mailing machine). General Clerk III uses some
subject-matter knowledge and judgment to complete assignments
consisting of numerous steps varying in nature and sequence. The
General Clerk III selects from alternative methods and refers
problems not solvable by adapting or interpreting substantive
guides, manuals, or procedures. Typical duties include: assisting
in a variety of administrative matters; maintaining a wide variety
of financial or other records (stored both manually and
electronically); verifying statistical reports for accuracy and
completeness; compiling information; and handling and adjusting
complaints.

Qualifications
Minimum High School Diploma or GED
Demonstrated experience in customer service
Must be able to speak and write in English
Preferred ability to speak a foreign language
Ability to obtain DHS Public Trust
Target salary range: $25,001 - $50,000. The estimate displayed
represents the typical salary range for this position based on
experience and other factors.
