Job Description Job Summary General Atomics (GA), and its

general direction, this position supports the manufacturing
production process with focus on the design, development, and
implementation of new or revised production processes for the
efficient and economical fabrication of parts, components,
sub-assemblies, and final assemblies. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
/n - Develops, implements, and maintains methods, operation
sequence and processes in the manufacture or fabrication of parts,
components, sub- assemblies, and final assemblies. /n - Conducts
tests throughout all stages of production to determine control over
applicable variables and troubleshooting and resolving a wide range
of complex manufacturing engineering issues. /n - Designs the
arrangement of manufacturing equipment to ensure most efficient and
productive layout. /n - Designs the sequence of production
operations, specifying procedures for the fabrication of applicable
tools and equipment, and adapting machinery. /n - Interfaces with
design engineering in coordinating the release of new products. /n
- Provides guidance to product design engineering on technical
specifications that will best utilize equipment and manufacturing
techniques. /n - Estimates manufacturing cost, determines time
standards, and makes recommendations for tooling and process
requirements of new or existing product lines. /n - Ensures that
production processes and procedures are in compliance with
regulations. /n - Maintains records and reporting systems for
coordination of manufacturing operations. /n - Develops appropriate
documentation of findings and implemented solutions and
communicates results to staff. /n - May be required to make
technical presentations to staff. /n - Maintains the strict
confidentiality of sensitive information. /n - Performs other
duties as assigned. /n - Responsible for observing all laws,
regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever
business is conducted on behalf of the Company. /n - Expected to

Qualifications /n - Typically requires a bachelors in engineering
or a related technical field as well as two or more years of
manufacturing engineering experience. May substitute equivalent
experience in lieu of education. /n - Must have a thorough
understanding of manufacturing engineering concepts, principles,
codes, and theory; experience demonstrating a broad application of
those concepts; and expanding knowledge of principles, concepts,
theory, and practices in related technical specialties. /n - Must
possess the ability to develop and communicate new concepts; apply
them accurately throughout an evolving environment; organize,
schedule, and coordinate work phases; and determine the appropriate
approach at the task level or, with assistance, at the project
level to provide solutions to a range of complex problems. /n -
Must have strong communication, computer, documentation,
presentation, and interpersonal skills, ability to work
independently and as part of a team; able to perform complex tasks
in one or more engineering areas; capable of representing the
organization as a prime technical contact. Able to work extended
hours as required. /n - Must be able to work both independently and
on a team. Able to work extended hours as required. /n - Must be
able to acquire and maintain security clearance. /n - Must be
proficient with SolidWorks, Microsoft Office Applications, and
Adobe. /n - Must have a detailed understanding of welding and
fabrication using GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, SMAW. /n - Basic understanding
of PQR's, WPS's and WPQRs and testing requirements /n - Must be
able to drive the flow of components between Manufacturing and
Quality Departments. /n
