Deliver high-quality perioperative nursing care as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room, providing individualized and holistic support to patients and their families. This contract opportunity is based in El Cajon, CA, offering a dynamic environment where you will deliver therapeutic, safe, and efficient care through comprehensive assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Key Responsibilities: Conduct individualized patient and family assessments to identify and prioritize needs and goals. Develop and implement age and culturally appropriate nursing care plans collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, ensuring documentation of care. Adapt nursing interventions based on patient responses and complex clinical situations, seeking additional resources as needed. Advocate for patients and families by facilitating their participation in care decisions and safeguarding their rights. Educate patients and families using personalized educational plans developed through assessing learning needs and barriers. Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and integrate care, improving patient outcomes and workflow. Delegate appropriate tasks to healthcare team members in alignment with their scope of practice. Participate in patient care conferences and document patient progress and responses thoroughly. Qualifications or Desired Experience: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with Operating Room experience. Proficiency in managing perioperative patient care using the nursing process. Strong assessment and critical thinking skills tailored to diverse patient populations. Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively within healthcare teams. Commitment to patient advocacy and culturally sensitive care.
