Job Description Job Description DESERT ELITE EYE GROUP IS LOOKING FOR AN OPHTHALMIC TECNICIAN TO JOIN OUR TEAM. We are seeking an energetic, friendly, responsible, and reliable Ophthalmic Technician who enjoys a challenging and busy environment within an Ophthalmology practice. You should be able to provide excellent customer service, be self-motivated, task-oriented, caring, professional, reliable, detailed, and able to multitask. Essential Functions include but are not limited to: Conduct patient work-ups, including history taking and documentation of the patient's chief complaint. Review of systems and all pertinent ocular findings. Perform testing, including VA measurements, topography, lensometry, auto-refraction, OCT, retinal photography, and Humphrey Visual Field testing. Must be computer literate and able to enter data into electronic medical records (EMRs). Proficiency in typing and working with computers. Cleaning instruments using standard sterile processes. Cleaning, stocking inventory, opening/closing exam rooms. Ability to multitask & work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to manage tasks involving a high level of detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Maintaining professionalism and courtesy at all times. Ability to work well in a strong team setting. Other administrative tasks as needed Previous experience as an ophthalmic technician is preferred. We are willing to train the right candidate! Bilingual is a plus.
